At Penponds School our staff make it a priority to meet the needs of every child in every learning, social and play situation. With that in mind, subject leaders have created a document outlining the reasonable adjustments that can be made specifically within their subject area. These adjustments, of course, sit on top of the quality first teaching that goes on in every classroom throughout the day.
These documents have been created with the child in mind and with reference to the Quick Guide below which outlines the challenges faced, from a child's point of view, across a range of needs.
Shared by Heamoor School and adapted for Penponds.
Our approach to the curriculum complies with our duties in the Equality Act 2010 and the Special Educational Needs and Disability Regulations 2014 to ensure the curriculum is accessible for those with disabilities or special educational needs.
